When I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer, the doctor described my various treatment options by their success rates over a five year period. The treatment I chose - seed implants - has a 85 percent success rate over the next five years. So now I am living my life by the fives (years) just in case I am one of the unlucky 15 percent.
